Each esca 10-50 had about a 25-30% chance to drop a bounty token. This meant each esca, when you averaged it out, gave about 10xp. You are getting the same, if not more, XP per escalation, as you'd have gotten from the averaged out chance.

The fights are already too short and simple to use them to fight. Maps are too small to use them to track the behemoth or ride them to go faster to the behemoth.
