WebJun 7, 2009 · They are a great product however, I rec'd a notice from the company that there are a couple Avon tires that people are having problems with the beads not working in. If you have the stock Dunlops on your bike, the beads will work great. You can order directly from the company or you can do a dealer search in your area and purchase them there. WebThe Z indicates the tire is speed rated above 149mph (or 240kph). When this speed was introduced, it was thought that there would never be a need to have a tire which would need to go faster. It was soon discovered that there was a need for greater speeds, so W and Y were introduced.

It is usually only a few ($10)dollars difference per tire, depending on the manufacturer, between getting a Z rated tire or a lessor speed rated tire. Z, W and Y rated tires are built to tighter specifications and normally take very little weight to balance. WebAug 2, 2014 · The easiest installation is antifreeze: take the stem out of the tire and let it deflate; put a 1/4" hose over the inflator and the other end into 4-6 oz. of antifreeze; lift the vehicle, causing the tire to suck up the antifreeze; reinstall valve stem and reinflate tire, done.
